I used to know I had what it takes but felt completely stuck watching other people get opportunities I was overqualified for. Sound familiar? That restless creative energy with nowhere to go, the frustration of being the perfect candidate who never gets the callback, I lived that cycle for years until I realized something that changed everything. My turning point came when a business owner twice my age trusted me to direct three of his businesses for the pay of less than one. That's when it hit me: if someone else could see my value that clearly, why was I still dimming my light for people who couldn't? I have a bachelor's in media and spent years wearing multiple hats, customer service, communications, social media management, healthcare administration, pharmacy operations, web design, HR. I've been the person who keeps entire organizations on the same page, who answers the calls and emails that make everything run smoothly. But I also knew I had more to offer. I started creating content back in 2012, pouring money and effort into music releases with no return. I had thousands of Instagram followers until I realized my own friends and family were the biggest obstacles to my growth. So I deleted them all and started over. Sometimes the people closest to you are the ones holding you back the most.

What frustrates me most about motivational content? It's generic. Too many creators are following bandwagons instead of speaking from real experience. I'm not here to regurgitate quotes I found on Pinterest—every piece of content I create comes from something I've actually lived through.I focus on short-form quotes because I want to build a community of people who are genuinely interested in growth, not just scrolling for entertainment. Those 3-7 second videos help me stay consistent (I can batch five at once) while letting the algorithm filter out the haters early. If someone clicks away immediately, perfect, they weren't my people anyway.
My ideal audience? People like me who feel frustrated and stressed in their current situation. Maybe you know you have what it takes but feel like all the odds are stacked against you, including jealous coworkers, unsupportive family members, or supervisors who can't see your potential. You're overqualified for opportunities you're not getting, undervalued in spaces where you're giving everything. You're not lost. You're not behind. You're just surrounded by people who benefit from keeping you small.
I'm currently an independent freelancer while building my creator brand. I'm a proud introvert and homebody who loves making music, walking with my dog and playing with my cat, and tending to my plants. I value decency, respect, and treating others how I want to be treated, revolutionary concepts, apparently.
I've been consistently posting across platforms and teaching myself web design, and honestly? I'm proud of that growth. It's not always glamorous, but consistency beats perfection every single time.
